Belinda Nadwie – “So Much Life”

Starting bid: $700.00

1 in stock

As like most of my works, “So Much Life” was lovingly made from scratch starting with the solid pine timber frames. I then stretched my own gallery quality canvas and primed it with texture including sand, glues and paint to seal and strengthen. “So Much Life” is layers of work using acrylic paint, oil paints & oil crayons. Most of my work is a layering technique until I am totally satisfied with the balance and harmony of the chosen colours. My works are often very large and create a unique curiosity about HOW they were made. (So I can’t give all my secrets away :)) They make the viewer want to reach out and touch them and every time you look at the painting you will see something new, something hidden that you didn’t notice before. There are colours under colours which come together with the merging of the top layers. Sometimes I use oil crayons, chalk, charcoal, pens, the end of my paint brush anything around me to create mark, lines and interesting expressions. I also like to use drip work to bring colours together. “So Much Life” is a huge standout piece which will keep you and your family/friends immersed for many years.

When Belinda is not covered in paint, she is busy being a mother to her three children, Summer, (7), Alice (5) and George (3).

Belinda Nadwie started painting when she was 5 years old at Sorrento Beach on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula where she grew up. Belinda would paint scenes on shells and sell them to unsuspecting tourists.

These days Belinda has sold hundreds of original paintings globally by commissioning pieces for collectors or working with Interior Designers, via word of mouth from happy customers and also via the internet.

Her paintings are held in many private collections all over the world and are lovingly created through layers of work using oil paints and other mixed media until she totally satisfied with the balance and harmony of the chosen colours. If you keep watch, there will be many more paintings to come as this is what she does on a daily basis, whilst raising her family.
