Eleanor Killen – “Ningaloo Whaleshark”

Current bid: $150.00

1 in stock

This is a small ink on paper work of mine which has been created with the layering of black and coloured inks on Arches 300gsm cotton rag paper. I normally work solely in black ink, layering ink from different thicknesses of felt tip pen until an image starts to take shape. This work, being one of colour, was a venture into use of different ink mediums and layering of colours to recreate a creature from an underwater world so full of colour. It was inspired by the whale sharks which visit the Ningaloo Reef each year from March to August, one of many ocean creatures which we are lucky enough to experience in the waters off the West Australian coastline.
