Sally Mundy is a Perth based artist living in Attadale, and residing professionally in the creative studio hub of Stackwood in Fremantle, WA.
Inspired by the balance and interconnectivity of nature, her work focuses on natural formations, flora and fauna with differing degrees of abstract expression and interpretation. Always evolving in the pursuit of creating a sense of balance and resolution, her works generally incorporate soft textures, wispy ethereal brushstrokes or fluid movement and symbiotic layers that immerse themselves within each other. She strives to create many different and subtle points of interest that come together in a single captured moment, allowing the audience to draw upon and enjoy the small individual sections of her work and equally, the amalgamation as a whole.
A former paralegal and now an aspiring ‘school mum’, Sally juggles her creative pursuits with her three young children. Sally is a primarily self taught artist, drawing upon skills learned from a lifelong obsession and interaction with drawing, painting and photography.
