I fuse layers of silk and paper together, these then become my canvas to draw and paint upon. The textures and forms in this work are inspired by intimate landscape details. In this work the abstracted form is derived from playing with old fishing nets on an isolated beach. My own interpretations of reality have merged with my imagination through the creative process. I am interested in how the physical landscape can mirror and affect the personal landscape. In this sense I examine the relationship that we have to our environment. I question the nature of reality and the layered perceptions of that reality.
